Objectives

  • To enhance the work on women’s, gender and equal opportunities issues in Bulgaria and further develops new areas of expertise and activities. It implements its own or joint projects with similar domestic or international organizations.
  • To initiate and implement, independently or in partnership with other NGOs and civic associations, activities targeted to guaranteeing gender equality in the political, economic, and social sphere as an integral part of the democratization process in Bulgarian society.
  • To consolidate and strengthen NGOs addressing women’s issues, to support the women’s movement in Bulgaria, to promote women’s issues, to protect women’s human rights and to promote the development and adoption of policies guaranteeing gender equality.
  • Coordination and technical assistance for women’s NGOs in Bulgaria, including coordination with the donors’ community.
  • Regional cooperation in SEE and CEE and the NIS, as well as cooperation with EU member states.
  • Studies and projects targeted to: monitoring the status of women, promoting women’s human rights, encouraging the participation of women in political and economic life.
