Objectives

  • To provide a lively research hub for academics, graduate students, and undergraduate students who work on themes related to gender, identity, and subjectivity.
  • To be keen to enable conversations and collaborations between historians of different periods, places, and approaches.
  • To encourage interdisciplinary collaboration by connecting researchers across Oxford University – and beyond – whose work is relevant to these fields.
  • To introduce students to these approaches at an early stage of their careers at Oxford, and we work to support and inspire historians who wish to develop their interests through undergraduate theses, Masters, and doctoral research.
