- Director (Elected from among the professors working at the university, for three years)
- Academic Board (The Deputy Director under the Presidency of the Director and an academic staff representative to be elected by the Faculty and Higher School boards affiliated to the Çukurova University Rectorate).
- Board of Directors (Deputy Directors from the Director’s Presidency and 5 lecturers to be selected by the Academic Board from among 8 or 10 candidates nominated by the Director from among university faculty members).
Objectives
- Encouraging, supporting, publishing and training opportunities for basic and applied research on women’s issues related to gender equality, violence against women and discrimination, and raising awareness and awareness in the society.
- To carry out activities and studies related to the Support Unit (CTS) against Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault.
- To cooperate with national and international non-governmental organizations, private and public institutions in projects, trainings, conferences and similar activities related to developing / raising the value and status of women.
- Providing and coordinating the publication of academic information obtained in connection with the activities carried out, by sharing it with internal and external stakeholders at national and international level.
- To cooperate nationally and internationally in line with the aims of the centre,
- To embed the gender equality perspective both in university administrative units and in the education program.
- To be a leading Center on women’s studies in the region and in Turkey.
Research and results
- A training project to raise awareness of students against gender, violence against women, discrimination and psychological violence at work (mobbing) and to strengthen their knowledge of gender equality (2011-2013).
- F7 project «Gender Equality and Creating Corporate Culture» (2012).
- The Project of Determining the Level of Psychological Harassment (Mobbing) Exposure of Academic Staff and Administrative Personnel in the Workplace and Raising Awareness in People (2013).
- Examination of the Education of Students in Higher Education in the Framework of Equal Opportunity and Gender Equality during the Pandemic Process: The Case of CU and ATU (2021-2022).
